What is bitcoin?
To put it simply in our case, bitcoin is like internet cash. How to bet anonymously with bitcoin or monero.
Go to coinbase.com (kraken is a better option if you’re in Europe) Sign up and add your bank account, just like Paypal. Remember that this is a completely legit US based website that works exactly like Paypal. The only difference is that you use bitcoin to move value, rather than Paypal sorting out where the value belongs. You may have to wait 1-2 days before you are allowed to instant buy. Once that is done go to 1xbit.com You’ll be given an anonymous account but you can add an email to it so you can return to the account in case you lose your credentials. Once you’ve attached your username and password to your account go to the top of the page and click deposit, you’ll be shown several cryptos, just chose the one you prefer. Now go back to Coinbase (or kraken) and click the Buy selection. Purchase the amount of bitcoin you would like. Make sure that it is an instant buy. The bitcoin will show up in your wallet within minutes. Once they show up go to send bitcoin. Go back to 1xbit and copy the address inside the green box at the top. And back to Coinbase and paste that address in the box as seen below. Type in the amount you want to send. That’s it for the deposit. Your bitcoin will arrive in your 1xbit account in seconds! Now to withdraw once you’ve made a ton of bitcoins! Go to the left side of 1xbit and then to cashier. Find the withdraw box. Now go back to Coinbase.com and select my Wallet then go to my wallet address below and copy it. Bring that back to 1xbit and past it in the bitcoin address under Withdraw. Complete the withdrawal. Your bitcoin will then arrive back in your coinbase.com account where you will be able to then select sell and sell the bitcoin for USD. Your USD will arrive back in your bank account on the next business day. Keep in mind that in order to use these crypto exchanges or markets you may have to provide id. If you want to fully anonimize the use of crypto you may have to buy it using alternative markets or buy in person from a friend or something like that. You may use exchanges like shapeshift or tokenmorph to swich between cryptos but the initial buy is somewhat more dificult.
How to bet anonymously using bookies
At the moment, the only fully anonymous bookie is 1xbit.com They accept a huge number of cryptocurrencies and operate almost globally. You have the option to register your email for account recovery purposes but you don’t have to if you don’t want.
Anonymous betting exchanges
Betting anonymously in exchanges requires some high tech knowledge at the moment. You can use platforms such as augur but they are too complicated and iliquid for the average user. Let’s hope this changes in the future because it would be awesome for everyone!
The downside of anonymous betting
Using a non licenced bookmaker has has some dangers that regulated bookmakers don’t. Think about it this way, if you are putting your money in a website that obeys to no laws, what prevents them from just shutting down the website and running away with your money? There are now several other bookmakers accepting bitcoin but that doesn’t mean that they are fully anonymous. For example, pinnacle accepts deposits/withdrawals using bitcoin but you still have to undergo KYC. If you only want privacy on your payment methods you should consider one of these proven and safe bookies. Keep in mind that you can’t have the best of both worlds. Payments are only one part of the process. There are now some decentralized betting exchanges such as augur but they are still in it’s infancy. Liquidity is very low and the usability is a nightmare for non tech savvy users so our recomendation is to wait for now on using these systems.
Bookies that require KYC but accept crypto
If you choose to use a bookie that requires KYC but still want to use crypto for payments anonymity, we recomend using 1xbet or pinnacle, they have incredible odds and great customer service.
More recently we found that 1xbet doesnt require KYC in some countries but you’ll have to access it via tor or vpn for registering. After registering you can access it via desktop app or mobile app without restrictions.
You can also use 1xbit which is a clone bookie from 1xbet but operatoes only with cryptocurrencies and is fully anonymous.
